What's Up Wednesday-8.25.21

I'm linking up today with Sheaffer and Shay for What's Up Wednesday.

What We're Eating This Week...
I'm still riding high on the back-to-school train living my best organized life so we've had some great meals lately...
Monday-Angel Chicken with Rice
Tuesday-Salmon with Broccoli
Wednesday-Tex Mex Chicken and Rice Soup with Quesadillas {I make cook extra chicken in the slow cooker and am making chicken/cheese quesadillas for kids to eat with soup}
Thursday-Pizza Meatballs with Pasta and Salad

What I'm Reminiscing About...
My baby is growing up!  Britt starts TK next week and while I'm excited for her to get to have fun during the day, it's always so sweet to have her home.

What I'm Loving...
One of my besties, Sheaffer, has a new fall collaboration with Victoria Emerson and I'm LOVING IT!  LOVE celebrating my girlfriends' successes and especially when it ends in cute jewelry!  Right now these items are all buy one, get one free.  The discount is automatically applied at checkout so be sure to add two to your cart!  If you're wanting to add a little "fall" to your closet now, check out these goodies!

Sheaffer and Victoria Emerson knocked it out of the park on this collection!  I think you'll LOVE it too!  Camo, leopard, cheetah, navy and more!  And she has the cutest huggie earrings!

A few of the gorgeous wrap bracelets in the line....aren't they cute?!  You can see the entire new collection now!

Love this girly and super proud of her!  Pictured on my wrist-slate/white bracelet {the Ashby} and cheetah print paired together.

You can see the leopard print {the Manda} paired with the brown leather.  I really like the look of two bracelets paired together.

I paired one of the Sheaffer's bracelets from the last collection with the brown leather bracelet.

What We've Been Up To...
We're in the midst of our new back-to-school routines but when we get free time we love to still head to the pool!  Still SUPER hot in Texas!  This past weekend Shay and I met there with these cuties.

What I'm Dreading...
This explains my pantry right about now.  When I open the door, it looks like there's so much food but yesterday I pulled out three boxes that were empty!  Completely empty!  I've gotta do a big pantry clean out but I'm dreading it.

What I'm Working On...
I think we're about to shuffle some kids' bedrooms around and completely get rid of our guest bedroom.  We don't use it that often so it makes sense to give each kid their own space.  I'm working on figuring that all out!

What I'm Excited About...
I'm excited about all the fall sports!  Bowen is playing flag football and fall baseball.

Nixon is playing tackle football for the first time and playing a little baseball too.

Britt is doing gymnastics and cheer this fall.

And Ebby Lee will have her first football game to cheer for soon!  As well as she's playing volleyball too.  I don't feel like I'm some crazy sports mom but I do love getting to watch them enjoy activities they love.

What I'm Watching/Reading...
BIG BROTHER!!  My goodness every time I think I have a favorite house guest, something happens and then I get a new favorite.  Right this second, I'm hoping Xavier doesn't get sent home tonight.  I think he seems to be playing an extraordinary social game and doesn't have a big target on his back.

And do you guys remember this movie?  I watched growing up and am pretty sure I cried when I watched!  The kids and I watched this past weekend and everyone enjoyed it!  If you need a good family friendly movie {there were a couple bad words}, check out Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken.

I'm currently reading Good Apple.

What I'm Listening To...

The Bestie Breakdown's latest episode-Breaking Down Birth!

What I'm Wearing...
I've been wearing all the fall transitional tops with shorts because Texas heat.  This quilted sweatshirt is super comfy for whatever I'm doing...working from home, errands, laundry, you name it!  And it's paired with old shorts and the Ashby and brown leather bracelets!

Another fall transitional top with these shorts, the Manda bracelet, and the brown leather bracelet.  I did a lot of computer work earlier this week hence the blue light glasses.  AAHH!  I was wearing my favorite huggies and didn't realize they weren't pictured until the next day!

A fun short sleeve top with cute details paired with shorts?  Yes, please!

Don't want you to get the wrong idea-sometimes my entire day has me looking like this.  This is a I'm-staying-home-all-day-and-am-getting-lots-done look.  This pullover is back at my favorite spot to buy vintage looking game day wear!

What I'm Doing This Weekend...
It's gonna be a GOOD one!  Our high school kicks off their first home game, College Game Day is back on Saturday mornings, Nixon's team has their first football game of the season, and both boys play baseball on Sunday.  I'm looking forward to it!

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...
Our town is hosting Oktoberfest next month and I'm looking forward to attending!  Hoping it's a little cooler than it was when we were there and sweating in 2019.  :)

Thanks for reading today!  See you tomorrow!
