6 1/2 Months Old...

Our sweet Bowen is ALMOST 7 months old!!  I can't believe it.  I feel like the last 6 months have flown by so if I don't write down some things he's doing at 6 1/2 months I'll never remember!!

His stats at the doctor:
Weight-20 1/2 pounds (85%)
Height-28.34 inches (95%)
Head-18.5 inches (79.5%)

He has become even more easy the last month.  He's started rolling over...finally!!  From back to tummy and tummy to back.  He can sit up pretty well without help. He's learned how to fall (from sitting up) gracefully.  He usually doesn't cry.  He just rolls to tummy and pretends like he meant to do it.  ha!  He's loving the high chair.  He eats veggie, fruit, and even meat baby food.  He is great at picking up puffs and yogurt melts and putting them in his mouth.  He probably hits his mouth 75% of the time.  He would LOVE to be able to take a short morning nap and a long afternoon nap, but with 2 older siblings...it usually doesn't happen.  He gets a quick nap in wherever we are in the morning and then naps when the big kids nap in the afternoon.  He still LOVES and adores Ebby Lee and Nixon almost as much as they adore him.  He's a great night sleeper.  He goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 7 or 7:30.  He'd prefer to go to bed earlier, but once again...third kiddo...it usually doesn't happen.  I don't want the entire family to not get to do fun things at night because Bowen needs to go to bed at 7:00 or 7:30.  So...he might fall asleep if we're out for a quick cat nap or not?  He's the perfect third baby...goes with the flow and fits in perfectly!!

Just for fun...the big kids at 6 1/2 months...
I searched and searched to find a picture of her without a bow!!
Nixon-Man was all smiles!!

What do you think??

Just The Boys...

Kody sent me this picture from our visit.  Aren't those boys cute??
(I'm sure Kody is DYING as he reads this...if he reads this!  ha!)

We've had a CRAZY week!!  Lots of packing, moving, and messes going on around here.  We closed on our new house yesterday.  They're starting lots of renovations tomorrow on the new house.  We have another week before we close on our current house.  So..we're slowly moving things over to the new house.  Then we head out on a much needed vacation right after that...so chaos is happening over here.  Add in that Tab has been super busy with work!!  Luckily, my parents were here to help several days this week.  THANK YOU PARENTS!!  Hopefully, I'll have some pics of the new house soon. But...I kind of want to have pictures of how it looks finished so that you leave with a good taste in your mouth.  ha!  Pictures to come soon!!

Missouri Trip Continues...

This is what happened when we FINALLY got to T-Nonnie's house.  Bowen crashed!
On Monday we went to visit both sets of my grandparents (the kiddos' great-grandparents).  We stopped in Oran for a yummy dinner and a golf cart ride around town.
B might have gotten a LITTLE attention.
 Can you tell?
Then we went to the Campbell's to see the other side of my family.  My kiddos were SO excited Kody was there.  Nix thinks he is too cool.

 Ebby Lee and Grandpa
Again, B might have gotten a little attention.  :)
Tuesday...we spent the day at T-Nonnie and Boo's house.  Uncle Jared & Aunt Kelly came over to swim.
My little fish was ALL about the cold water.  I was not.

Wednesday we went to Cape Girardeau to play at the Discovery Playhouse.  Nix was in heaven with the dog house.  ha!
They had so much fun playing!
They participated in music time.  It was "animal" day, so they were singing a song about animals.  They had to pretend to be that particular animal.  They did monkey, dog, and got to lion.  All the kiddos started growling and Bowen began hysterically crying.  He's not a fan of lions apparently!

 Playing in the water area.

There was a hopsital area where they took care of babies.  They also had a bank, grocery store, garden, and dentist.
Danger!  Danger!  Nix is behind the wheel.
Then we met Brynn, Whitney, Ryan, Grandpa, and Grandma at Burger King for lunch.  This was Brynn's first time to have a kids-only lunch.  They thought they were big stuff!
This handsome guy got to hang with the grown-ups!!

We had a great time in Missouri!!  I was so glad to get us all unpacked.  But...now we're packing everything up again to get ready for the move!  It's gonna be crazy around here, but we're looking forward to it!

Wedding Weekend in Bolivar...

Friday evening...wedding rehearsal.  Grandma being seated by her escort, Ty.

My cousin, Tarah, got married this past weekend in Bolivar, Missouri.  We packed up and left Friday morning so we'd make it in time for rehearsal Friday evening.  Our handsome Nixon-Man was the ring bearer!  He had lots of practicing to do.  :)
Ty and Bowen (I'm not sure how this happened but Ty ended up in a LOT of my pics?  Lucky you, Ty :))
Ebby Lee loves her some Brynn so she was SO excited Brynn was there.  I was busy coaching Nixon down the aisle...so I couldn't take any pics of him practicing.  Let me say...ALL day Friday Tab and I talked about how Nixon acted like he didn't feel that well and he was a little warm.  (Remember this...it's important later.)  But...we didn't want to worry anyone or make it a big deal.
After rehearsal, we walked two blocks to the rehearsal dinner at this tea room down town.
Nixon pretending to be like Ty.

Big girls got to sit together
All the guys in attendance...except James.  I'm sure he was too busy.
Right before this pic, they announced there were tornado warnings for Bolivar so we should all dismiss before the weather got too bad.  We were all staying in a hotel so we decided to head to my aunt's house and wait it out in her basement.  Yikes!  I tried to keep it under control, but I was so nervous.  I lead the ladies into the closet and we waited safely for it to pass!
This is everyone BEFORE the tornado sirens went off.
 Beautiful bride, Tarah, with Bowen
So glad Friday night ended up being thunderstorms ONLY!

Wedding Day!!!  The bride, groom, flower girl, and ring bearer...Nixon's doing pretty good right now.
Then this happened:
He did NOT feel good!  He couldn't take it any longer.  Bless his heart.  I had to wake him up at 1:45 because the wedding was starting!!
Handsome B in his wedding attire.
Tori, Tarah's sister, looked so cute.
 Next up...Ellie & Nix
He couldn't do it...it was no ring bearer or Tab goes too.  So...Tab opted for no ring bearer.  :(
I felt so bad, (Sorry Tarah & James!!) but I knew he didn't feel good.  He had fever and had been so good ALL weekend.
Camden arrived!!  Jared and Kelly were driving over late Friday night and were going to hit the storm head on so they stopped a couple hours out.  They met us at the wedding Saturday.  At the reception, Nixon perked up a bit.  Maybe because there was ice cream??  It was such a cute reception with all of my favorites...snacky foods, ice cream, AND the best wedding cake!
My table...Whit, Linz, Ebby Lee, Jared, and Paxton
The grandparents with ALL the grandkids

 Our party of 5 :)
My mom and her two sisters...so much fun!
After the wedding festivities, my aunt and uncle had a bbq dinner for all the family.  The weather was PERFECT!!  It was so much fun.  We played wiffleball.  The kiddos ran around and "explored" the back yard.  It was a great night!
 Watching the big kids play
I'm not sure Bowen got enough attention this weekend.  :)  ha!  Tori and Morgan took care of that.
 Me & Ebby Lee
Uncle Tim even built a fire because it got chilly.
We left the next morning to go to my mom's house for a few days.  On the way home, we stopped at an Urgent Care to get Nix checked out and the poor guy had an ear infection (and the doctor thought maybe a virus on top of that).  Poor Guy!!  He never complained once about his ear hurting.  Crazy!!  But...Monday morning he woke up feeling SO much better.  Other than my ring bearer skipping out on his job, it was a beautiful wedding, gorgeous bride, best cake ever, and lots of fun time with the family. :)
Congrats Tarah and James!!!
