Dinner at M & G's...

On Saturday night, M & G had some family friends over for dinner. They invited us to join them as well. Nixon and Ebby Lee were starving so M let them eat a little early. Check out Ebby Lee's Tangled plate. She was so excited about this!! M knows the way to this girl's heart. That's for sure!
Miss Priss thinks she needs this fluffy pillow and a blanket when she's watching t.v...ha!

He looked away RIGHT when I took the picture, but this is Nixon's new "cheese" face. Love it!

Pool Time...

Nixon-Man in his RIDICULOUS floatation wetsuit!! I know he's going to HATE me for that one day, but with him...it's seriously life/death. He is really moody about the water. Sometimes he could care less. Other times he walks right out into the water even if no one is in the pool with him! On Thursday we went to a public pool in Plano for smaller kids. The deepest it probably gets is 2 ft? But...when he's having a "crazy" day in the water, he can go under and stay under until someone grabs him! I'm telling you...he can be CRAZY!! I was FORCED to get him this wetsuit. He hates floaties/life jackets/anything bulky. This was the least bulky of saving devices...so that is what he got! He actually had a really calm day (I'm talking only went under about 5 times?). I kind of felt bad for him having to walk around in it, but he was safe when we left. That's what mattered!!
We met the Wrights at the pool and had a great time playing with them. Ebby Lee seriously wanted her lunch at 10:15 a.m.!!

Baby Carson was a champ! He laid in his carrier and WITHOUT crying...drifted off to sleep. I was impressed!

Today...we followed Andrea, Luke, & Mason to the country club pool. he he! This pool is SO nice. It's gated...so they can't get to the "big pool". It's only 2 ft. It's mostly shaded...and the list goes on!! I love it there! Thank you Andrea & Luke for letting us join you...AGAIN!

Ebby Lee is all about whatever snacks Carter's mama packs him. I need to start talking to Ms. Sheaffer about what she's packing!

Swimming/Father's Day/Strep Throat...

My crazy kiddos before we headed out to run some errands last week!!
She was trying to give him a smooch. He wasn't feeling it!

Saturday night, we went to the Smith's neighborhood pool to meet up with our dinner group to eat and swim. It was SO nice!! There was hardly anyone there. They have a big kiddie pool, so it was the perfect place to go when you have 6 kiddos 3 & under. Sweet Maggie in her bikini was ADORABLE!!

Olivia's saying, "cheese"!

Nixon is CRAZY about the water. He needs a one-on-one lifeguard to save him every 3 seconds...for real!

There were some puppies on the other side of the fence and these three were hollering, "Doggies!!" Too cute!

The little guy wanted to join in on the action.

Happy Father's Day to my kiddos favorite Daddy!! I had a great day planned for Tab and STREP THROAT hit me. So...poor Tab took care of the kids solo all day. He even stayed at home on Monday while I went to the doctor and was in bed ALL DAY!! We love you, Tab!! (He doesn't read this so he'll never know but we're going to have a special Belated Father's Day dinner tonight in his honor...now that I'm living again...it should be fun!!)

This is an example of why the Slaughters do NOT need a dog! I have Nixon around to make little messes like this everywhere he goes! ha!

This little princess (since we stayed at home all day yesterday) started working on potty training. So far, it's going pretty well. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!! We even ventured out to run some errands today. She did not have any accidents, but we did set in the car and wait for her to potty in her potty chair for approximately 30 minutes!!!

Sweet M saved the day a couple times already this week. Tab had a football bbq on Monday night and she babysat. Then last night she brought us this adorable chicken pot pie. Don't think the kiddos appreciated her work as much as they should have. But...I was impressed!

Don't pay attention to all the junk in the back of my car. This is us in the CVS parking lot waiting for Miss Priss to potty!! ha! I bet everyone that saw us chuckled.

He was ready for his sister to get it together so we could go!!

We're back in Texas!!!

I snapped a couple pictures before church. Enjoying some books before church.

This is Ebby Lee's naughty face. She makes this exact face if she's getting ready to do something she shouldn't do...push Nixon, steal a toy, etc....so glad I captured the face on camera!!

Family Self-Portrait

After naps, we headed to the pool.

Such a nice relaxing Sunday!!

More From Missouri...

My camera battery died RIGHT after all the wedding celebration. So...I was waiting patiently for Boo to send me pictures I took on their camera. We went to play at the park and it was SOOO HOTTT!!! We were probably only there about 30 minutes. It was miserable.

Another day we went to the mall to play....INSIDE! Much nicer!

One night, T-Nonnie and I were bored so we loaded the kiddos up to go for a country drive.

This is kind of blurry, but Camden was cut off the other one.

Aunt Rene', Whitney, and Baby Brynn came to swim with us one day. They were all ready to hit the pool!

Sweet Baby Brynn

Whitney was rockin' that bikini. She looked amazing!!

Our last night in Missouri, we went over to Grandpa and Grandma Hency's house for dinner. Ebby Lee enjoyed playing the piano. Grandma Hency sang with her. It was too cute!

Nixon played with the decorations!!

Grandpa, Grandma, Nixon, & Ebby Lee

Nixon doesn't get REAL homecooked deliciousness like that very often. He was in mashed potato heaven!!

Our Sunday Best in MO...

I realize my head is at a funny angle...but parenting is all about sacrifices, right? :) Ebby Lee and Mama before church.
Handsome Nixon-Man before church

Two Became One...

Dressing the flower girl...she was so cute in her "princess" dress. We could have used some more hair, but we made it work with a big headband. :)

Erika, Whitney, & Ebby Lee

T-Nonnie and Ebby Lee...after getting Ebby Lee dressed she was ready to strut her stuff!

Uncle Jared (the groom) and the precious flower girl

Flower girl & Daddy

We didn't forget about this handsome guy!

He had picture time too.

Ebby Lee, Uncle Jared, Nick (went to school with us), Brad (was in my class in school), Dwyght, (was our basketball coach in high school), Justin (Kelly's brother), and Tab

It was really fun to get to see Nick, Brad, and Dwyght. I grew up with them and were around them a lot. Wish I would have gotten to hang out with them more, but it was great to see them!!

Super cute ring bearer...Camden

These guys are the best of friends

I'm not sure if Nixon gets enough attention when we go to Missouri??

Ebby Lee thought Aunt Kelly looked like a real princess! Kelly was gorgeous!!!

The cute little family

Our family

This was taken right before I sent Nixon off to the babysitter. My aunt found a sweet college student in town that came to watch Nixon during the ceremony. It worked out perfectly!! He got to play and be loud. I got to watch the whole thing and not worry about having a loud baby!

Part of the family killing time before it starts.

The flower girl and ring bearer did great!!! They walked right down the aisle. Ebby Lee walked over to stand by Tab. After a prayer, she'd had enough and plopped down on the stairs. I was setting in the second row. After she took off both shoes AND her headband, I decided she needed to join me in the pew! She actually fell right asleep as soon as she set in my lap. I was so proud of her and Camden!!

Sweet Bandermann family...love that Baby Brynn!!

Family Candid...ha!!

This picture is my absolute FAVORITE picture of the entire week!! Whitney accidentally posted this instead of a "good" one. There might not have even been a good one with this many people. But...she posted this, I stole it, and I LOVE it!! You can hardly see Lindsey & her fiancee Curt...but other than that this is my BIG FUN MISSOURI FAMILY!!

Congratulations Kelly & Jared!!! The wedding was beautiful. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day!
