Introducing...Miss Ebby Lee

She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

So sweet! She had the biggest Angelina Jolie lips when she first came out. All the nurses kept walking in to check out her lips.
First picture with Daddy...he looks like a proud dad, doesn't he?
First picture with Mama. This is mom. We struggled with a name for her. I think Shay, Whitney, and Amber tried to help her out in the waiting room all morning, but they didn't come up with anything fabulous. We really kept saying T-Nonna as a joke, but it kind of stuck! All the friends and family that stuck it out in the waiting room!

At my doctor's appointment on Monday, April 6, my blood pressure was high (for the second week in a row) and I was dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced. So, my doctor decided that he really wanted to go ahead and induce this week. I secretly think he didn't want Ebby Lee disrupting his Easter ham, but all that to say, Tab and I were super excited about having a baby so soon!! We raced around and tried to get all the last minute details finished. The nurse called on Tuesday and said that the hospital has room for you on Thursday it will be! It ended up being a blessing that we actually knew when the big day would be. I had time to get everything ready at school and we got everything ready at home.
We went into the hospital at 5:00 on Thursday morning. They started me on the contraction medicine (don't know how to spell that word) around 6:00. Tab and I were just hanging out and enjoying ourselves. At 8:45ish, my doctor came in and broke my water. I got my epidural around 10. Friends and family came in to hang out and helped me pass the time. By 12:30, I had dilated to a ten and my nurse was ready for me to push. We...well I...pushed w/the nurse and Tab until about 2:30 and then they called the doctor. We had Miss Ebby Lee at 3:04 p.m.

Shower in Zalma...

All the fabulous hostesses for my shower: Amber, Grandma Hency, Aunt Rene', Whitney, Donna, and Lindsey...thank you ladies!!
Carlye and Carrie-friends from high school. Carlye had just gotten engaged. She had a beautiful ring to show off. We're looking forward to January 16th, 2010!!

Tosha (a friend from high school) and her daughter Elly. I appreciate all the great friends and family members that came out for the shower. It was so great to see everyone.

Ebby Lee's New Room...

I don't know what happened to this picture, but I HAD to give props to Casey...aka Bob Villa and Sarah. They came up from Addison and helped us tape everything off, add a chair rail, and paint. It would have taken us FOREVER to do that on our own. We really appreciate them coming up to help us out. They've got mad skills!! Thank you Casey and Sarah!!

Who knew that Tab has mad painting skills?? Not me!! He precisely painted the diamonds on the wall. That took him forever, but he was super committed. After Marla stenciled Ebby Lee's initials above the crib, Tab made them look super great. It took a while, but he did a fabulous job!

This picture got messed up too, but my mom and Bruce came down for the weekend to help us finish the "big stuff". Bruce hung a chandelier above the crib and he put a fan in her room. It looks great!

These are almost the "final" pictures of her room. As you can see, the drawers aren't all in. We also have a couple things to add on those shelves. I'll have to post more later (yes, I'm sure it'll take me a couple months, but I will get it done!). It is completely finished now and right on time.

Super Bowl Day at School...

The Friday before the Super Bowl we had Super Bowl Math Day at Kerr. Gary, Tab's dad, came as a special guest. He kicked off our day at the Spirit Rally. He also talked to each grade level about how football, the NFL, and math all relate. I was super popular that day. All the kids were asking about him.
