What's Up Wednesday-April 2019 Edition

Hey!  Hey!  If you're not following along on Instagram, you should be!  Shay and I are having a MAGICAL time somewhere very special with our kindergarteners.  You can follow along on Instagram to see all the fun!

I'm linking up today with Sheaffer and Shay for What's Up Wednesday.

What We're Eating This Week...

Hmmmm....my kitchen is pretty much in the hands of Tab ALL WEEK LONG.  Bowen and I will be enjoying things like Dole Whips and Mickey Mouse waffles.  ;)

What I'm Reminiscing About...
I've been thinking back to the last time we were at Disney World...so many fun memories.  And look at teeny tiny Britty.

What I'm Loving...
How independent Britty has become!  Last week all my kiddos had dentist appointments and they ALL WENT BACK ALONE!  When Ebby Lee was finished I had her sneak in to take a picture of Britt.  Look how grown up she is!

I was also loving a few minutes of alone time in the waiting room while they were all having their teeth cleaned....I can handle a quiet room and kid baking show!

What We've Been Up To...

special themed days at dance class,

bestie nail salon dates,

What I'm Dreading...
LAUNDRY!
When I get back to town, do you have ANY idea how much laundry will have piled up?  UGH!

What I'm Working On...
Of course the magical trip we're on is to create some amazing memories, but Shay and I are also getting a little Disney research in while we're there.

What I'm Excited About...
I'm so excited for days like this on the horizon!

What I'm Watching/Reading...
Ebby Lee and I are still loving Project Runway!

And we also watched the premiere of The Amazing Race!

You know what comes on soon-SOUTHERN CHARM!!  I can't wait!

What I'm Listening To...
When I flew to Missouri a few weekends ago, I flew into St. Louis but my parents live about two and a half hours from the airport.  I want to add they offered to come pick me up but that would be a lot of extra driving so I rented a car and drove.  In the car, I listened to a couple podcasts that I enjoyed!
The Popcast with Knox and Jamie...now I need to do a little digging into how this podcast came to be.  Does anyone know?  Are they childhood friends?   Cousins?  What's their connection?  I listened to the podcast on Flavor Town 2, which is the episode where listeners wrote in with salty comments about a variety of things.  It was highly entertaining on my drive!

The Big Boo Cast with Melanie and Sophie is one I'll periodically listen to.  I heard their latest podcast and it led to this...

Sophie shares about Target Restock.  Have you heard of this?  For $2.99 in most areas, you can fill up a box with non-perishable items and it will arrive next day full of your goodies.  I don't know about you but sometimes I don't need enough dish soap to last until 2022 {I love Costco but some items I don't really NEED in bulk}.  Enter Target Restock....after every item you enter, the site tells you how much of your box is full.  I grabbed things I can only get at Target as well as paper plates, peanut butter, Gatorade, etc.  It's not a service I'll use weekly, but in a pinch-I'm glad to know it's there.

Also-on that same podcast this brand of cleaner was brought up.  This comes in both a multi-purpose cleaner and a dish soap...Smells Like a Citrus Grove...smells very similar to the highly popular Volcano candles.  I'd love for my house to smell a little more like that this summer.  :)

And I also listened to The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey and Audrey Roloff.  Years ago I watched Little People Big World on TLC.  Do you remember that show?  I didn't even know it was still on!  This podcast was so interesting...I loved hearing about what the Roloff family is up to now!

What I'm Wearing...
I've been loving this Anthropologie top I scored a few weeks ago.  I'm wearing a 6...if your long torso'd I'd size up for the length.  I've been pairing this with white jeans but I think it'll look just as cute with white shorts.

What I'm Doing This Weekend...
Did someone say NINE-YEAR-OLD BASEBALL TOURNAMENT?

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...
You know us McKinney girls love our town 365 days a year, but Memorial Day weekend is one of my absolute favorites in McKinney.  May in McKinney MIGHT be my FAVORITE!
Bike the Bricks happens in downtown McKinney...a super fun event to watch!

There's a fun party in my neighborhood!

There's a really cool charity concert complete with fireworks {and typically HOT temperatures}.  And lots of POOL time in between school and activities.  Basically, I'm looking forward to ALL THE THINGS in MAY!

What Else Is New...
I'm FINALLY reading this book, Where the Crawdads Sing...it's about time!

Since I'm out of town, I'll be taking the rest of the week off.  Narci and Andrea will be holding the fort down on Friday Favorites and I'll see you back here on Monday!

Thanks for reading today!
XO

I love the Popcast! Knox and Jamie randomly met online (as bloggers I think) and ended up starting the podcast together! For several years they lived in different states and never even recorded while being in the same room, but now Knox and his family live in Alabama so they actually record together. Do I need a life? Perhaps😅 I highly recommend the episodes that are “the no’s of...” like the No’s of Marriage. You will DIE😂

I'm going to feel like such a grandma when I say this...but I've never listened to a podcast. Like ever. That Anthro shirt is SO CUTE!

I LOVE the Popcast!!! My bestie and I went to the live show last year and I'm not sure I've ever laughed that hard in my life! Their bachelor recaps are amazing and worth the pattern subscription. My all time favorite was the No's of Motherhood from last May. I made my husband listen to it and he was crying laughing too! My favorite way to pass the time in the car. Don't Mom Alone is also another wonderful podcast for Christian mommas and covers topics for kids of all different ages and stages.

I am a Popcast diehard! Stop everything and go listen to the No's of Marriage right now.

MandeeVK- You're right. It was either a blog or on a message board about the Bachelor. They began their friendship around The Bachelor. ;)

I love the Popcast and cannot wait until I'm able to attend their live show.

Sophie Hudson and Melanie Shankle are goals.

A few totally random things...I'm kind of obsessed with kids baking shows; I can't quit them. And I was afraid I would miss Tim Gunn SO much so I was iffy about PR. But I am enjoying Christian. I am still iffy about the judging panel though.

Oh yum! I Just love Dole Whips.. the last trip to WDW I ate a Mickey Ice cream bar everyday for lunch and with all that walking around I ended up loosing weight (While still taking full advantage of our dining plans!! and amazing nightly sit down dinners). It really is the most magical place on Earth.
